ELEMENTAL – Styling
The look for the Elemental trend incorporates understated simplicity and sportswear silhouettes, given a modern update with the mix of fur and performance fabrics. The contrast of plush fur with the smooth touch of nylon creates a paradoxical mix that is at the core of the trend. This is where we can emphasise the importance of deep funnel necklines, minimal detailing like fly-front closures and the sense of top-heavy volume on sporty jacket shapes.
Fig 1| A long lean silhouette is given added emphasis with the deep unstructured wrap neckline and sleek hidden closures. The coat is reversible with a nylon inner, a soft rounded shoulder line and short bracelet-length sleeve detailing.
